Rate Codes Set-up

Menu Group: File Maintenance - Optional

 

Rate codes are used to provide an alternate method for defining an employees rate of pay. When entering a rate in the employee master profile you may enter either a fixed rate or a rate-code, but not both. You should use the rate table when many employees will be paid the same rate, this way when the rate changes you need only change one value in this look-up table. The table only applies to hourly employees.
