This version of the manual includes the topic files for our GUI product. In general the topics are the same except for the exceptions listed below and when noted in the topics themselves. For topics that are the same both the character and graphical screen will be presented. The text will refer to both screens and differences will be noted. In some instances the Menu Access will provide a hyperlink to the GUI screen if it in the same topic file.
The GUI version of our software has been tailored to work with Frameworx (Foresight Software), Syteline (Symix), and Darwin (Syscomp). References to these operating environments will be made throughout the text when necessary. Generally speaking the GUI screens have been inserted into
This tutorial will step you through the implementation process for the EDI environment. It will be presented in a format that will enable you to implement both inbound and outbound documents including the set-up for communications. Examples from an actual implementation will be presented and links to more in depth topics are available where appropriate.
We assume that you have a prior knowledge of EDI, the application, and communications.
Before using the EDI module you should make sure the following functions are properly set-up (Frameworx):

- Entity Maintenance

Each function will contain an introductory section, followed by a screen shot. Any field level definitions will follow the screen shot and will be in either table or descriptive format.
