Employee General Switch Maintenance

Menu Group: File Maintenance: Employee General Switch Maintenance

This screen shows the application of the switch with relation to the chosen employee. Notice that in the 2 boxes only one description is showing and that the rest of the boxes are blank. This is because we have only one title has been defined in the Employee switch definition.

In the example below we are telling the system that the employee 015 is subject to PERS. You may use this switch for any number of employees.

To inactivate an employee for a range of pay periods use the INACTIVE switch. If you don't have a switch called INACTIVE then you must create one. Click here to learn how to create this switch. Once the switch has been created then all you need to do is:

  1. Open the relevant employee record.
  2. Choose the General Switch folder.
  3. Enter switch code INACTIVE
  4. Enter the start and end period.
