Time Bank Set-up

Menu Group: File Maintenance: Vacation/Sick Pay/Time Bank Set-up

Any number of time banks may be created for accruing and paying bankable hours. When posting time you have the option to pay (default) or bank the time. If you click the bank check box (in time posting) then the time will be banked to the bank code in the employee master file or to the override for that transaction. Please refer to the time posting program for more details on how to post time sheets.

The maximum hours field is used to limit the amount of time in the bank. The maximum may be monthly or yearly based upon the radio button.

The two EBD's are used to define the category for the payment from the time bank and for its Lump Sum Payments. The G/L codes for each EBD can be blank; in this case the G/L code will be generated from the EBD. If the G/L code is non blank then it will be used.

Payment EBD No:

For employees under the plan this will be the EBD used when a time bank is paid out. The G/L codes will be retrieved from the EBD and can be changed to any valid code.

Lump Sum EBD No:

Similar in use to the Payment EBD this EBD is used when a Lump Sum payment. The G/L codes will be retrieved from the EBD and can be changed to any valid code.

G/L CR for Banked Time

This field is used to record the G/L code for crediting the banked time. The debit will be the G/L code used to record the expense, i.e. when you are posting the time the debit G/L code will be retrieved from the time transaction.
