Menu Group: File Maintenance
This screen is used to record the employees salary information. See a field by field explanation below the screen.
Field | Description |
Job-class Job-Title |
The job Class and title can be used to record information about the work position of job. |
Frequency | The employees frequency of pay. This will default from the Payroll Settings. |
Salary/Hourly | Radio button to define whether the employee is salaried or hourly. If the employee is salaried then enter his/her salary in the Salary field. In this case the Rate Code and Rate are left blank. If the employee is hourly then use either the Rate Code or the Rate. |
Salary | Enter the employees salary per the value in the Frequency field. |
Rate Code | If you are using rate tables then enter the code for this employee. |
Rate | Enter the rate of pay. If you are using rate tables then leave this field blank. If you are using rate tables and you fill in this field it will be ignored. |
Hours | Enter the number of hours in the standard work period (e.g. week). Will default from the Payroll Settings. |
E.I. Hours | Enter the number of hours to be considered for Employment Insurance. May be different than the number of hours in the period. This field is used for salaried employees only. The E.I. hours for hourly paid employees will be calculated from the time actually worked. (This field is not used in the US) |
Hours Per Day | Number of hours in a standard day. If you plan to use Standard Time Card Templates you should fill in this field as it will be used for days where there is no entry in the template. |
Previous Salary Change Date |
The payroll software will keep a record of the last salary and the date is was changed. This field will be automatically updated when this happens. |
